Hilton Head's Shelter Cove

ilton Head's Shelter Cove Hilton Head Island's Shelter Cove is located across from Palmetto Dunes Plantation off of Williams Hilton Parkway and should be a place not to miss. If you are looking to shop, eat, or learn, Shelter Cove will be a centerpiece of entertainment and will a haven for romantics or families.

At the Shelter Cove Harbor, you will be able to walk along the boardwalk and enjoy a popular place to eat and shop alongside the water. Listen to live music and other entertainment while viewing the sunset. Special events, concerts, and festivals also take place here.

Neptune

The statue of King Neptune is Shelter Cove Harbor's most well-know landmark. It stands tall on a pedestal (good for pictures). Neptune is actually a standing on one of the world's largest working sundials. Neptune's trident spear is actually the sundial's gnomon, or time indicator. You will learn how to read the graph etched into the platform and how to adjust for correct time any month of the year.

Fireworks

During tourism season, fireworks flame every Tuesday night in the summer at Shelter Cove. This has been a tradition of the marina for many years. The Marina provides a boastful display of lights and pyrotechnics along Broad Creek. Admission and Parking is free and there are plenty of nearby shops to check out. There are also great places to get your favorite refreshments.

The Deepwater Marina

Shelter Cove Harbour Shelter Cove Harbor hosts Hilton Head's largest deepwater marina. The marina is a very busy since many fishing charters, water tours, and party cruises depart from there. There are also many beautiful private boats for your viewing delight.
